Now on it’s 6th year, Durianman Triathlon was initially a Standard Distance event with an easy course in Davao City. In the few years after, it became an event for all – kids, beginners, serious triathletes. In 2016, Durianman Triathlon transferred to the Island Garden City of Samal, introducing the cross channel swim leg. DURIANMAN has now been streamlined to cater to hardcore triathletes who are worthy of comparison to the King of Fruits – the Durian.

Course Maps for the DURIANMAN® Triathlon has been released! (For better quality maps, go to Course Overview)

DURIANMAN® Triathlon is organized by the Triathlon Association of Davao with the full support of VISIT DAVAO FUN SALE.

The 1.5KM point-to-point cross channel swim will be the most challenging leg for the DURIANMAN® Triathlon. Athletes will have to cross the Pakiputan Channel from Sasa, Davao City to Brgy. Caliclic, Samal. Even with the support of boats, jetskis, and kayaks (not to mention the 1.5km buoy lines on both sides), it could still be a difficult swim depending on the weather on race day.

The 40KM bike course takes the athletes along the Circumferential Road of the Island Garden City of Samal. There will be short manageable climbs throughout the course, with fast, downhill portions. Athletes will be able to enjoy the breeze as well as the breathtaking view of the sea.
